Cold or hot, our society cannot seem to reverse
The climate nor how we are much more diverse.
Extremes are normal when found in extremities
But there’s days we simply find incongruities.
Dust settles until loud shouts blow it away
And many people are unsettled and left for dust every day.
Stephan King could never write this in a book
Where leaders act like a pawn or queen
Leaving behind the silent minorities in between.
Before we “know it,” we’ll see it on flatlined TV
Giving us a proper slant or an unctuous, “BELIEVE ME!”
Then we are socked in the mouth on the streets to nowhere
Even Extraterrestrials must know it isn’t fair!
The broken jagged seams of the tapestry of our nations
Makes it difficult to be grateful for our unique creations.
